Fiona Kuhn-Thompson

Current Co-President

With over twenty years’ experience of group facilitation, training and all areas of lived experience working and co-production, Fi was one of the original members of ‘Emergence Plus’ and was involved in the development and early implementation of the national KUF training programme.  She has lived experience of recovery from a diagnosis of personality disorder and extensive use of NHS services.

She is currently employed as the ‘Lived Experience Lead for the Complex Emotional Needs Pathway’ across Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust and recently completed a secondment as the ‘Head of Lived Experience Workforce’. Whilst in role, she hosted the first NHS National Conference for Lived Experience and Peer working in July 2023. Alongside her NHS leadership role, Fi is also research active and is the lead for Patient and Public Involvement for a large NIHR HTA funded research trial.

Driven by a deep dedication to anti-racism, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, Fi is committed to working with intersectionality to bring all voices to the table, particularly those for whom our services and institutions are painful and inaccessible.

Outside of work, Fi is resident director of a local youth musical theatre company and dusts off her tap shoes to take to the stage herself as a performer from time to time.
